Any Californians want to do some polling?
Im interested in doing some statewide door to door, neighborhood polling on some basic questions regarding Schwarzenegger, ie approval, how did you vote in the recall, a very few simple, unloaded fact finding questions. Is there interest in this sort of thing?
It wouldnt take too much work, and it wouldnt take too many people to pull some good info. Might be nice to counter the corporate mythology with a little ground pounding and neighbor to neighbor outreach.
It would not be appropriate to gather the info from a hostile POV, but it would be possible to collect contact info for follow ups or organizing interested citizens. I think this might be the only way to find out what is really going on in our state. Thanks.

3. excellent
Let's give this notion a few days to settle in, this is a low profile forum. I think I can rough a few basic survey questions for discussion that would serve multiple purposes without necessarily skewing the responses or betraying the process. What I feel we can learn with a broad enough sample (paging BFE CA, are you out there, we need you too) might at best shine a light on our voting results reliability, at worst give a more reliable idea of what the populace is feeling about our state leadership and politics in general. We are nearly a nation unto ourselves and very much a sacrificial lamb for Texas energy pimps.
So please spread the word to friends you might have in further reaches of the state. The more people involved, the easier it gets. It could be absolutely painless if we pull enough participants into it. If not, we can still secure valuable data in an afternoon. Imagine simply knocking on 50 doors? People really dont mind talking if you arent there to sell them something, and most pollsters certainly are.
Thanks!

4. I can ask people what they think....
while I am out signing people up to vote. I am in contra costa county and helping organize voter registration for all the different groups. I am out and about all the time working full time. Give me a few questions and I will sort of throw it in while they are filling out the info...like what do you think of the new gov?? I think he is a big dissapointment...not that I am surprised!
