The Curious Case of John Titor
http://johntitor.com/

On the surface it looks nutz. The guy claims to be a time traveler from 2036. This site chronicles the postings of the mysterious John Titor, who appeared online in 2000, posted for a few months, & then disappeared. The problem is that the guy is very articulate, and his predictions are beginning to come true...

1. I've seen that.
Been following it, it meshes very well with Peak oil scenarios. But I don't think his predictions are all coming true, unless the media is more bought out than I like to believe. One would think a "Waco-like event once a month" would get better media attention. Sure he muddied the dates a bit on that, but if it doesn't start soon it likely won't.

However he does say the next President will try to be the next Lincoln, and at the time I thought that made him a Bush supporter since it was soon after 9/11. Maybe not though. Still seems to be a biot repuke though, since he keeps saying to look at how everyone voted. Then claims to be from the rural areas, rural all went to Bush if I remember right.

2. He was writing long before 9/11

Also, he seems somewhat Libertarian in his political outlook. Please note that he said that his timeline was 2% different from ours, so things here would proceed a bit differently...

4. I'm aware of when he was writing.
But considering how much 9/11 changed the country, one would think he would have mentioned it. I was not alive during Pearl but I certainly know it as a major event. But I still think he's right leaning oppossed to left leaning.

3. I think he clearly identified the enemy...

<snip>
Will you readily be able to identify the enemy?

They will be the ones arresting and holding people without due process.

5. The guy who turned me onto this site says...
that there is a 50% chance that John Titor was part of the Intelligence Community. He knew what was up with the Bush regime, & he wanted to warn people. So he cooked up the time travel story, (which nobody would believe), as a cover to explain what was coming down.
