Is it illegal to leave the scene of an accident that I am are not the cause of or directly involved in?
I havent been involved in any accidents going on 7 years (*crosses fingers*) but I'd just like to know.

"I am are not the cause of" doesn't compute for me. Is there an extra word there or some missing words? I can't help but think there's a subtext here that you're not telling us.

I would say, "go about your business". But if you saw ,something it is your duty as a citizen to advise the "victim". This could also mean you swerved to avoid. Difficult question with incomplete info.
