The Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a hearing for February 12th on the nomination of Richard Honaker to the federal district court in Wyoming, a hearing that Senator Feinstein (D-CA) will chair. Throughout his career, Mr. Honaker has actively worked to undermine a woman's right to reproductive freedom.
As a representative in the Wyoming State Legislature, Honaker introduced the "Human Life Protection Act," which would have criminalized abortion from the moment of conception, even for women who were the victims of rape or incest, unless they had reported those crimes to the authorities within five days. After the bill was twice defeated in the legislature, Mr. Honaker worked with the "Unseen Hands Prayer Circle" to place it on the statewide ballot. Again, the people of Wyoming soundly rejected Mr. Honaker's extreme legislation.

In public statements, Mr. Honaker has made it clear that his views are not merely his personal opinion but also his legal philosophy. In defense of his "Human Life Protection Act," Mr. Honaker emphasized his role as an attorney, saying, "I know the law and I know how to write it so it means what it's supposed to mean." His flawed legal interpretations, in conjunction with his dismissive statements about the Supreme Court and its precedents, cast doubt upon his ability to fairly enforce the law—particularly laws he openly despises—from the federal bench.

2. I'll contact her but I don't hold out much hope

that she'll do the right thing. She's responsible for the new weaselly attorney general as well as that racist judge that got approved in MS. Plus she and hubby have made like a gazillion dollars in profits off the war in Eye Rack.
