Sunday, May 25th,1:00-3PM, KPFK invites you to Arlington West at Santa Monica Beach for a tribute to Heroes of Peace.Over 4000 crosses and other religious symbols replicate the real Arlington Cemetery in West Virginia, symbolizing our fallen in this criminal war. This is a tribute to them, to those who fought and came to oppose it, and to those who opposed it from the beginning…all HEROES OF PEACE.

We will be joined by: Ed Asner, Blasé Bonpane KPFK broadcaster, Jodie Evans of CODE PINK, MikeFarrell Arlene Inouye of CAMS, Kevin McKeown, SM City Council Member, Ron Kovic, Vietnam war hero for Peace
Congressman Dennis Kucinich, Bill Rosendahl, LA City Council Member, Marcy Winograd, Chair PDla
Col. Ann Wright (Ret) and KPFK'S Lila Garrett (moderator) plus The brilliant OOA SINGERS !!!

Most importantly, IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR will relate to us, as they just did to a shocked Congressional hearing, how their personal experiences turned them from support for this war to a passion for peace. They grieve not just for themselves, but for the thousands if not millions of innocent Iraqis who have died needlessly, often at the hands of our remorseful vets.

Hear HEROES OF PEACE as they tell us what continues to be the truth about this fruitless ongoing war. It's a story we'll never forget. Nor should we.

That's Sunday, May 25th, from 1:00 to 3 PM at Arlington West in Santa Monica at the north side of the Santa Monica Pier (easy parking $8). Sun block and hat recommended.
