Arnold talking about slashing state employees
to Fed min wage. Try living on $6.55 an hour! I received this email from the Courage Campaign. Please sign the petition to Arnold to look elsewhere to make his (long-promised) budget! Thanks!

Hi,

Have you heard the news that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is going
to slash the wages of 200,000 state workers to the federal minimum
wage of $6.55 an hour?

This is absolutely outrageous. I just signed a petition to ask Arnold
to halt these wage cuts and get back to the budget negotiating
table.

I thought you might want to sign it as well. Just click here:

Thanks!

1. He should slash the pay of people who serve on honorary commissions
in half. That would take care of the problem. Those jobs tend to be just political paybacks anyway.

2. The State Controller,
who I will thank the next time I see him in the elevator, isn't likely to let this go through. If it did, I'd be taking a $33/hour cut and I don't think my mortgage lender would be very sympathetic. But, we have other fall-backs, though. I've banked with the Golden 1 Credit Union for over 30 years and they will offer no interest loans if you have direct deposit. They'll automatically deposit whatever was deposited the previous month.

All in all, it's just Ahnold blowing more smoke out his ass.

3. Why don't we give early release
to the nonviolent drug offenders in jail? It costs California a fortune to lock up those 'dangerous' potheads!

gggrrrrrrrrr.....!

Thanks for the info. My spouse also thinks Arnold is blowing smoke out his butt but he also thinks it's already blowing up in his arrogant face. I can see the Capitol building if he was able to do that to us...!

4. Cut pay to those who can least afford while the rich pay pennies in taxes
BushCo is teaching Arnold well
