Folks, is it time we break the Democratic party into regional parties that vote for majority leaders on the federal level? What on earth to people in California and Oregon have in common with people in New York, Illinois, and Masschusetts? It's no wonder why the Dems can't win.

In fact, I think it is a myth that the people in this country are all that different.
Look, TV and national media generally make attitudes in this country more homogeneous than most seem to think.
Are there certain issues that you think appeal to the east as opposed to the west?
Also, in California and the South, the general migratory trends seem to be for people from the North and Midwest moving to better climates.
