State Dem priority must be to get ARNOLD out of ANY political office
He is being groomed for the presidency, no doubt, and if we do not get this nazi pig woman hater out of the governorship, and keep him from winning any senate seat, we can humble the bastard back to the movies.

He has consistently proven to be a whore for the special interests he swore he would defy. Typical republican. I still cannot believe all the dems who fell for his macho bullshit and voted for him.

1. Just started looking through the new Vanity Fair
with him and Maria on the cover. I've skimmed the article and haven't seen anything yet like "Darryl Issa candicacy as a Trojan horse for Arnold", nor anything about Arnold's attendance at "secret energy meetings in CA with Ken Lay". Just a nauseating puff piece on how VUNderful Arnold is, and how he enjoys a "65% approval rating". Yeah right. No one I know approves of him.

2. Oh, and PS
that BS recall selection was the first touchscreen balloting in Alameda County. It went away for 2004 elections.

I think Cruz Bustamante won and we have Arnold due to BBV. Bustamante had a 20% lead in the final weeks before the selection.

5. Bustamante did not have a 20% lead leading up to the recall election
The greatest margin any poll(an August LA Times poll) had was Bustamante by 13% over Arnold.

I found this summary of polls taken before the election.

Poll Schwarzenegger Bustamante McClintock
Final Results* 49% 32% 13%
RCP Average 41.5% 31.5% 14.0%
Survey USA (10/3-10/5) 46% 34% 13%
Knight Ridder (10/1-4) 37% 29% 15%
Field Poll (9/29-10/1) 36% 26% 16%
Survey USA (9/28-30) 45% 28% 16%
LA Times (9/25-29) 40% 32% 15%

Time/CNN (8/8) 25% 15% 9%

I think realclear politics is tilted to the right but the poll info seems to be correct.

Exit poll data seems to match up too:

Arnold won because he's a celebrity...nothing more, nothing less.

3. The chance of Arnold becoming President of the USA is ZERO!
There will be no "63rd Amendment" to the Constitution of the United States.

4. Although this stuff about Arnuld is on the state Dem website...
it doesn't seem to be being passed around
Democrats (although I am no longer a Dem,
I still pay dues to the local clubs and
should get sent this stuff)

ARNOLD IGNORES PLEDGE OF BIPARTISANSHIP, HIRES SMEAR GROUP: Though Schwarzenegger campaigned as a candidate who would bring people together, the Sacramento Bee reports the governor has hired the public relations firm that spearheaded the so-called "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" smear campaign against Sen. John Kerry. Specifically, "when Schwarzenegger decided to raise campaign cash last week during a trip to Texas, he turned to a group called the McIntosh Company" - the same professional fund-raising firm used by the group that smeared Kerry with false attacks and that was "funded largely by conservative supporters of President Bush." The newspaper said it "is looking forward to cross-checking Schwarzenegger donors from the Dallas event against donors from the Swift Boat ads."

7. I hope you're right... er, correct
Thanks for the info-- I'm delighted to read that the Sac Bee is looking into these BS shenanigans. (Instead of HIDING them, which has been the national media norm)

I hope they stay on his tail because he is bad news. BLECCCH

6. I think his election was rigged...
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 02:31 AM by ailsagirl
Well, I don't really know that but there was a lot of corruption behind the scenes in getting him in. He was a direct result of Enron-- Ken Lay, another Dub crony. (Doesn't Dub have any decent friends??)

Ahnod is a big ZERO between the ears and I'm so embarrassed he's guv

And you better believe he has an agenda--

I long for the days when Jerry Brown ruled the state
