I live in a rural California area. The nearest wide place in the road has a stated population of 113. On the bulletin board outside the Post Office, I saw an poster put out by the California State Assembly Republican. It announced a petition drive to amend the state constitution to forbid driver's licenses for illegal aliens. The poster also stated that there is some danger of illegals getting education aid. Shades of Prop 187, all over again. Pete Wilson must love this. Since the poster is put out by the assembly repukes, I'll go out on a limb and say the repukes think there is gold in these thar hills. A lot of Hispanics will hate all republicans to the end of their lives, over the original prop 187. I guess the republicans want to make it unanimous. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

2. Petition Gatherers At Von's Store |
|
This afternoon I encountered some petition gatherers for this at the Von's store close to where I live.
I said it sounds like some Nazi Republican kind of proposition.
They said "Oh well. Different rules for everybody."
