Why Barbara Lee would be a great primary challenge for Dino-Fi
1. She's a maverick
2. She represents one of the most progressive districts in the country, 500,000 of the people in her district live in Oakland and Berkeley alone and she got 84% in the last election. That means, if she loses the primary, there will likely be a progressive Democrat.
3. She'd energize the black community.
4. California is 46.7% white (non-hispanic). Most of the 33% of Californians that are registered Republican are white. Thus, if we energize the minority electorate, Feinstein stands a chance of being defeated by Lee in the primaries.

1. I've been shouting for Lee for the last three years
Ever since I saw her and heard her speak at the first SF peace march.

DiFi needs to go.

2. If Feinstein runs again, she will have access to millions of dollars
from corporate/labor/pac interests. Barbara Lee won't. In a smaller, less expensive state, an upstart like Lee could pull it off. In California, she wouldn't stand a chance. All she would accomplish would be the loss of one of the most progressive voices in the house when she gave up her house seat.

4. I've got no idea who or what "Dino-Fi" is
but I agree with the sentiments - Barbara Lee rocks. She was the only person to vote against the resolution that gave Der Chimphrer authority to invade Afghanistan and that took guts. Her argument explaining her vote still remains one of the best arguments against the US response to 911.
