Democrats form umbrella group to take on Schwarzenegger

The Associated Press

Last Updated: February 9, 2005, 04:10:17 PM PST

SACRAMENTO (AP) - A coalition of labor unions, education groups and health care advocates have established an umbrella political organization to help direct Democratic opposition to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his package of measures expected in a special election this fall.

Calling themselves "Seriously, Saving California," the newly formed group would also support alternative initiatives that organizations allied with the state's Democratic Party are sponsoring, said John Hein, a former official with the California Teachers Association who is helping organize the committee.

Hein, now a director of a national education advocacy group, said Wednesday the political committee is so new membership has yet to be determined and no decisions have been made about which initiatives will be supported or opposed.

"You can call it a multi-initiative committee," he said. "It's being pulled together by a number of people who would be affected by the governor's proposals as well as people who have submitted their own proposal."

1. God Speed...DEms under your

2. MuscleHead
This guy is sneaky. I live in San Francisco, and he is halting construction of a new Bay Bridge that is already under construction. He wants the Bay Area to foot the bill for the construction of a 'freeway on stilts' ugly bridge.

Bottom line? He is playing politics - and we are traveling on a bridge that will collapse if we have another earthquake. MuscleHead is just as bad as Bush - and more dangerous, because of his star power.

3. YEAH, BABY--NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!
This is literally the answer to a prayer! Just a few hours ago, I said that it was imperative that Arnold must be deconstructed, and the way to do it is to organize and chip away at him a little each day!

5. Arianna Huffington has dirt on Arnold. She exposes his lies and his cruel
agenda in a way that is both entertaining and devastating. There is a sidebar in her book "Fanatics and Fools" that presents the evidence against Arnold.

She uses quotes from Arnold's campaign speeches, and then contrasts them with his actions in office. He is a hypocritical liar, and his cruel agenda has hurt the most helpless Californians.

It wouldn't take long and just in time for
Arnie's "special" election. Now that would
be special.

11. There must be 100,000 people who are fed up enough to
pitch in ten bucks each to recall Arnold, or a million people who would donate just one dollar each.
