AMY GOODMAN: Independent radio journalist Amy Goodman is co-host of the award-winning show Democracy Now!, which airs on the Pacifica radio network and more than 200 radio and TV stations across the United States and around the world. She has recently published her first book, The Exception to the Rulers: Exposing Oily Politicians, War Profiteers, and the Media That Love Them," co-authored with her brother David Goodman. Goodman also is the co-producer of the programs "Drilling and Killing: Chevron and Nigeria's Oil Dictatorship" (exposing the oil company's role in the killing of two Nigerian villagers on May 28, 1998) and "MASSACRE: The Story of East Timor."
SONALI KOLHATKAR: Sonali Kolhatkar is host and producer of KPFK's morning show, Uprising, on Southern California's Pacifica radio 90.7FM. She also is co-director of the Afghan Women's Mission, a group that works in solidarity with the Revolutionary Association Of The Women Of Afghanistan (RAWA) to secure women's rights, human rights, and health and educational facilities for the people of Afghanstan. She is a frequent speaker on college campuses and community forums, and her commentaries have been published online at Z net and commondreams.org, as well as Z Magazine, Foreign Policy in Focus, the Berkeley Women’s Law Journal, and other publications.
