Keyes moving political operations to Chicago
Look out, Illinois Republicans.

Alan Keyes is making good on his pledge to stay here, securing a downtown condominium and working to move two of his conservative organizations to Chicago.

It's all part of an effort to push the state's moderate Republican Party farther to the right.

"He's paid his dues as a Republican, and -- as he did in his campaign -- he'll urge people to support the party," said Richard Ferrier, president of the Declaration Foundation, one of the organizations Keyes is moving to Chicago. "And at the same time, I think he will hold their feet to the fire."

2. He found a goldmine.
These RW fundies gave big to his campaign. It was a lost cause and they gave anyway. Wait until the locals realize he's draining their pool.

4. His goal is to disrupt the black community.
He'll come in with B$$$ faith base iniative dollars and try to buy into the community and splinter it. As a bloc they are core to Dem Party power and the GOP is well aware of this. So peeing in the pool is appropriate too.

5. I bet the creep wants to run for Mayor - certain amt. of unhappiness
with Daley has been surfacing.

Keyes probably thinks he can get the Black vote as many of them are culturally conservative.

How the Repugs would love to get that position after all these years.

6. That's interesting thinking
I could see Keyes running for mayor now that you mention it. Keyes doesn't stand a chance though. He got 10% of the vote in Chicago for his Senate race. He has a LONG uphill battle to become mayor. Especially since he doesn't have any actually experience governing. He was only an ambassador. He has never been elected to any office. I doubt his first would be in a heavily Democratic city he has lived in for less than 1/50 of his life.

13. He's an idiot.
It's laughable that about a million Bush voters actually voted for Obama, not Keyes.

Why doesn't the guy just run for pastor or something? I'm sure he'd fare much better in that profession.
