If DeLay isn't going to play by the rules, then we really shouldn't either. You guys are clearly a progressive state that goes blue in overwhelming margins with a dem legislature. You guys should gerrymander or "un-gerrymander" as DeLay would put it and send some Republicans packing.

It was briefly held by a Dem before being gerrymandered out of reach through the inclusion of McHenry County.
It's ridiculous for the second largest city in the state (Rockford), which voted for Kerry, to be represented by a Repug, especially one as repugnant as Manzullo. John B. Anderson must be appalled.

The Dems would rather battle each other and ally themselves with Rethugs to show their power. Hell, Obama came to Aurora and would not endorse the Dem candidate for mayor. He expressed neutrality because the Rethug is a young black lawyer rising from welfare. The GOP are eating their own, but we cannot take advantage of that because we are also.
