Chicago Sun-Times: Cicero's uncivil war
http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-cicero09.html

"Larry Dominick is scheduled to be sworn in as Cicero's new town president on May 10, but it appears it won't be the same job his predecessors held.

In Cicero's first board meeting since voters ousted Town President Ramiro Gonzalez in a Feb. 22 election stunner, the pro-Gonzalez town board hastily rewrote large chunks of local ordinances to take power away from Dominick.

Board members insisted they did it to help Cicero, but Dominick and the vast majority of residents who crammed into the raucous, three-hour meeting labeled the changes an 11th-hour power grab.

"You got beat like a man," one resident shouted at Gonzalez. "Why don't you leave like a man?"

That last line is priceless.

1. Tweed, this has Fast Eddie Vrydolak and
his cohorts written all over it...

I guess things in Cicero will never change.
