At the time I was a 20-year-old student working a summer job at a steel mill in northwest Indiana. I didn't listen to disco and had nothing against the music itself.

My friends and I just wanted to drink some beer, watch some baseball and see some records destroyed.

By the time we got to 35th Street, midway through the first game of the doubleheader, the ballpark was crammed to capacity and dozens of fans were climbing up the outside wall to get in through the giant "window" openings down the left-field line.
