LANE EVANS PUSHED NAFTA, IT WAS HIS FIRST VOTE!! |
|
I heard this at work yesterday. Where do folks get this stuff? First it was Clinton that pushed it, now Evans too? Why is there so much spin surrounding the NAFTA Agreement? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada-U.S._Free_Trade_Agreementhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto_Pact

I guess I should say this. I hear things like, "Yeah, Repugs are all pro-business, but Clinton/Dems/and now Lane gave us NAFTA." Free Trade pre-dates Clinton and Evans.

3. NAFTA was being pushed in 1992, under Bush41 |
|
And, at the time, Republicans were mad at Clinton for passing a version which tried to protect American workers, a.k.a. a "watered-down" version.
Check the Congressional record, and you'll see that most of those who were speaking against it in 91/92 were Dems.

4. Wasn't NAFTA an "addition" to FTA? |
