I have a prediction. I predict that before the end of February Blouin will add a pro-life female to his ticket.
Why don't the Dem's unify and get with the program?
Any thoughts?

3. The program is democracy |
|
and that means that anyone can run in a primary and it is actually healthy for that democracy if more people are in tha race because more issues are dicussed. Enough of this made for TV stuff where 2 people battle it out and sling mud all over the place.

5. Lot to be said for those skimpy outfits. |

Funny that those girls are allowed to skate in front of millions in clothes that most parents would never allow them out of the house in. Love that curling though. Oh - and the primary will give us a chance to air the issues. Let us hope they keep it civil and don't give the dynamic thieving duo any ammunition.

Since Culver has teamed up with Judge, Blouin will almost be forced to also choose a female for his Lt. Gov. That being said, if he is truly smart, he will select a pro-choice woman (if he can find one with enough stomach to stand beside him). Blouin's largest public drawback is his anti-choice stance -- it has many women in the state tossing him to the curb.
Let me put it another way, Blouin will not have my vote, my husband's vote, my mother-in-law's vote, my brother-in-law's vote, and at least 15 of my friends' votes strictly due to his anti-choice stance. Culver, while disturbing due to his death penalty stance, ranks much higher than Blouin due to this one topic.

The fact that several Democrats in the legislature either have or would vote to restrict women's reproductive health care rights means the bill (has) will end up on the Governor's desk. Who will sign it? Who won't? That has to be the question.
A death penalty bill will have a hard time passing - let's watch the one that is working it's way through right now. Culver has placed a heck of a lot of caveats on the bill he may be willing to sign. The republicans 'they all ought to die' bill isn't going to pass muster.
