Culver gets UAW endorsement!!!

A couple of posts below shows that Blouin just got the CWA endorsement(which is as much of a disappointment as the IBEW endorsement). Both of these unions are headed by strong women (and as far as I can see do endorsements right - meaning ground up rather than top down...HELLO AFSCME!!!) But why either one of these unions would support an anti-women's health care rights, pro-business anti-worker bully is beyond me. (Especially with the IDED deal with Qwest in Souix City!). But the deal is done and now on to the Iowa Federation of Labor COPE convention this weekend.

Thank GOD the UAW is under new leadership and the endorsement process is better than the smoke-filled, back room, do it or you'll lose your standing in the union ways it used to have....wonder what happened to the old leader???? ;)

Way to go Chet! should make for an interesting couple of months...anyone know when the next reporting period is???
