In Rep. Steve King's district? (Western Iowa) |
|
I need someone who is a constituent to contact King's office. They won't speak to me as I live in another district. I'm trying to find out how King voted (voice vote) on the Tom DeLay rule.
Here's the contact information:
Storm Lake Phone: (712) 732-4197 Fax: (712) 732-4217 Address: 607 Lake Ave. Storm Lake, IA 50588
Sioux City Phone: (712) 224-4692 Fax: (712) 224-4693 Address: 526 Nebraska St. Sioux City, IA 51101
Council Bluffs Phone: (712) 325-1404 Fax: (712) 325-1405 Address: 40 Pearl St. Council Bluffs, IA 51503
This is the only one of our state reps that has not reported (the three others -- Nussle, Leach and Latham -- all voted against the DeLay rule)

1. She is going to call me back in a few minutes |
|
So she said  Probably checking to see if I'm a constituant and or if I'm one of "them" :phone ring: That was fast;-)
OK here's what I was told. They have had so many calls on this (I called the Sioux City number) and they still don't know how King voted. They may not know for a few days and as soon as they know they will send us a letter. Yeah I know :wtf: Funny we already know how the others voted.

2. He's usually in lock-step with the GOP |
|
I'd be pleasantly suprised if he actually made a intelligent decision.

King is such a partisan fundie puke he's probably going to tell us why he was "morally" bound to vote in favor of the poor unjustly picked-on tom delay.
on edit: of course I'll let y'all know what king says when I get the letter in the mail.

Can't remember what it was. According to it King voted for DeLay. Latham, Leach & Nussle voted against him. I find it hard to believe Nussle in particular and Latham voted against DeLay. The only reason I can imagine Nussle did is I think he realizes how bad a vote for DeLay will play when he runs for governor in 2006. I can't imagine any other reason he would have, since he's pretty much a lockstep puke otherwise.
