4. It appears that Culver and Braley are in |

And we have to help them along. Btw, a young dynamo named Elesha Gayman said that it looks like Braley is in, so I believe her. This is by no means official at this point though. It does look like Whalen is winning huge though. He must be stopped. He is nothing more than a bush toadie here in the heartland. on edit- I wish to apologize right now. I just checked a local newspaper website and they have Dickinson and Braley in a virtual dead heat. We may not know for a while who comes out on top in this race. It may even go to convention. My source for this latest info is www.qctimes.net. Once again, I am sorry for providing possible false info.

He is down about 40 votes with 20 precincts left ... but, looking at the counties where votes are outstanding, Bruce is ahead in each of those counties. 4 precincts still out in Black Hawk. I think Bruce will pull this out by a point, maybe a point and a half. Great race to all candidates. I am particularly surprised by Gluba's showing. He ran a great race with little financing.

6. Buchanan county just reported in |
|
That bumped up Braley into the lead. The Black Hawk precincts should ice this for Bruce. I have been sweating this race all night.

9. Those are old numbers at QCTimes |

But, speaking of the QC - State Sen. Maggie Tinsman, an incumbent republican (somewhat moderate) was ousted by a radical republican tonight. Perhaps this puts another seat into play?
