News Advisory:
The "official" anniversary photograph of gay and lesbian couples, their families, friends and supporters will be snapped at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, May 17, the first anniversary of equal marriage in Massachusetts. The photograph will be staged on the steps of the Boston Common leading to the State House.
More than 6,000 gay and lesbian couples have married in Massachusetts since May 17, 2004, when the Supreme Judicial Court set that date in their decision on the Goodridge case brought by Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD). Tomorrow's photograph will be signed by married couples and eventually presented to the Legislature.

1-4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Association national headquarters at 25 Beacon Street, Boston, MA (No. 25 is immediately adjacent to the Massachusetts State House and next door to the Parkman House).
