Who represents you in Congress and the State Legislature?
Edited on Sun May-16-04 10:54 AM by ih8thegop
Or, at least, who was elected to represent you?

I'm represented by Vern Ehlers (3rd District) in Congress, Glenn Steil, Jr., (72nd District) in the state House, and Bill Hardiman (29th District).

All are Republicans. Hardiman is okay (after all, he used to be my mayor), Steil is full of it, and Ehlers is in between.

2. Kildee, Barcia, Meyer
I am represented by the Great Dale Kildee(D) in congress, Former congressman Jim Barcia(D) in the Senate and the least working member of the Michigan House, Tom Meyer(R). However, if all goes according to plan,Meyer will be just memory in the 84th district.

3. Groan. Nobody, really. Thanks to repuke redistricting
no democrat has any chance at all of winning an election in my various districts (U.S. Congressional, and State Rep and Senate, I mean). There's a very slim chance that the Dem challenger for the U.S. congressional seat might pull it off... but it's really for the Repukes to lose, not the Dems to win. If the repukes are in really bad odor come November, enough of the moderates in this district might go Dem to put him over. But it would have to be really bad. The "good"?? news is that it looks like it IS getting really bad...

But anyway, the repukes that have been elected to represent me, even though they don't. McCotter (repuke) in the U.S. Congress, John Stewart state Rep and Bruce Patterson state Senator.

Of the three, I'm least disgusted with Stewart, who is at least strong on education. Patterson has done one or two things I've agreed with, and McCotter actually voted to stop Bushit's overtime rules from going into effect.

What's that they say... "even a stopped clock..."
