Nader Shuns GOP Help on Ballot Access

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Presidential candidate Ralph Nader is shunning help from Republicans to get on Michigan's ballot as an independent candidate.

Instead, he is caught in the middle of a dispute over leadership of the state Reform Party, and whether he's the legitimate nominee in Michigan.

Both John Muntz and Matthew Crehan claim to be the chairman of the Reform Party of Michigan.

Muntz gave state elections officials paperwork for Nader to be on the ballot in late June, after Nader won the national Reform Party endorsement.

2. Reform Party

Isn't that a "right" party? The same party that is claimed to have taken votes from Bush in 1992?

Republican swing voters like the reform party. If they don't want to vote for Bush, don't want to vote for a Democrat, they will vote for Nador on the REFORM party. Then again, they might link Nador with green/demo.. and not vote 3rd party. Just never know.
