A while back, someone posted here that LDS Social Services did a teen pregnancy ad on AM-950. That disturbed me a bit. But imagine my surprise when about a week ago I was out and about, listening to Al Franken's show, and lo and behold, an ad sponsored by the Minnesota Republican Party came on the air, talking about how Democrats want to tax and spend irresponsibly (my own paraphrasing). GRRRRRR

1. I think Air America needs to answer to this.....

I know that like any other radio network, they need the advertising dollars, but if this is real they certainly don't need THOSE advertising dollars!

If I wanted republican ads, I would listen to "The Patriot".

5. dont worry about it. People who listen to aar know the difference...

Let them spend their money. Its not about supressing discussion. Remain true to our principles.

Most of the ads on AAR are for things that will never be purchased by listeners...Snake Oil, vacuum cleaners, and self-help gurus...to hell with them..."keep those cards and letters".

7. Nick Coleman addressed this issue on Monday morning.

I was upset at first, but I agree with NC when he says that liberals tend to tune out the rhetoric of the right to their own demise. Let them spend their advertising dollars, and let us know first hand what they are selling. That way we know what to expect when we come in contact with the right wing nuts at work or family functions.

..is going to have their mind changed by a Republican Commercial.
Just laugh and see it as more money for OUR cause.

But the old taxpayers league one they used to run really sucked.
The day will come when their drivel will not be spewed over our airwaves. Windjammers!
