Where's the outrage?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Katherine Kersten's June 16 column ("Profound questions from the Schiavo case"), except for one small item. There is a law on the books in Texas (signed by then-Gov. George W. Bush) that allows hospitals to stop life support on any patient, of any age, with 10 days notice, even if the family objects.

That no one from the sanctity-of-life movement protests this law, or stands outside the walls of the Texas Legislature yelling "murderers" at the enactors of this law (where's Brother Paul when you really need him?) makes every one of them a hypocrite, and because Kersten chooses to ignore its existence, puts a lie to every word she wrote.
