made some changes to the comics page and brought in Mallard Fillmore. It's nothing but Right-Wing inspired cliches.

7. The only thing funny about Mallard Fillmore is that the |

rightwingers think it's payback for Doonesbury.

8. Appeals to the RW types. |
|
It's simple enough for them to understand.
Straw Man: I'm so glad I support gay's rights to boil unborn children! Mallard: Wow, you really are stupid/evil/ignorant/whatever Straw Man: I know! Tee Hee!
Repeat ad nauseum.

9. the run it next to Doonesbury in my paper... |
|
and one day a year or two ago both strips were addressing the same issue (I forget exactly what, maybe John Kerry or WMD or something) but I was struck by the subtle satirical wit of Doonesbury and the strident, in-your-face, hit-you-over-the-head treatment of Mallard Fillmore.
I swore that day that the 10 seconds a day I spent reading that idiotic strip were too valuable and I have since trained myself to look past it.
Take my word and don't waste your time!

10. Dammit! They didn't actually go and do it? |
|
Good thing I have no subscription to the Strib, or I'd cancel it. I think I'll actually write them a letter anyways, explaining that I'll never pick up their paper again.

that is a HORRIBLE strip. I read it in other papers while travelling (usually the Grand Forks Herald). It is so BORNING, with no humor or real point whatsoever.
I give Prickley City more credit for a right wing strip with some humor every now and then.

12. At least they run the Boondocks as well |
|
The Boondocks has to be the funniest comic strip ever, and it bashes Bush harder than anything else in the newspaper.
