Mark Kennedy posts lies on his website
http://www.twincities.com/mld/pioneerpress/12343468.htm

Is U.S. Rep. Mark Kennedy a conservative Republican whose recent votes with congressional Democrats have been an effort to soften his image and appeal to middle-of-the-road Minnesotans in his campaign for the Senate, or is he a "common-sense, get-things-done guy" whose votes may have nothing to do with his campaign?

Was the Congressional Budget Office's recent prediction of a smaller-than-expected deficit perhaps only a temporary improvement in a string of deficits stretching into the future, or was it unalloyed good news?

If you read the excerpts of Associated Press articles posted on the Web site for Kennedy's Senate campaign, you got the second take on both those news stories.

If you read the original versions on the AP wire, you got both sides of each story.

In response to an e-mail tip pointing out changes made in AP copy, a lawyer for the news service on Tuesday asked Kennedy's campaign to remove AP articles from the Web site.

"They're not authorized to be using it," said Dave Pyle, the AP bureau chief in Minneapolis. "And — No. 2 — if they were permitted to, they never would be allowed to selectively edit it as they have."

<snip>

Let the Kennedy campaign know how you feel about this latest endeavor to cloak their candidate in a mantle of misrepresentation:

2. A Minnesota DU activist core.
I like that. If we can get 10 letters in one is bound to be printed.

Remember to use: Rubberstamp, fraud, lack of integrity/values and such.

6. kennedy vs. the machine and its corporate paymasters
Nobody will be surprised to learn that the Kennedy Campaign blog, Kennedy versus the Machine, is funded by the Minnesota Taxpayers League and that it's author was in the employ of the American Experient, an organization dedicated to wealthy people who expect to be comped when the bill comes around. Most people are already familiar with the Taxpayer League and its mission to convince otherwise rational people that two plus two equals fourteen, also known as supply side economics. What may be surprising is that the Kennedy blog admits these arrangements.

8. Why I'm here...
Thanks for the warm welcome. I am an admirer of DU's Minnesota page. I joined the DU because I want to help.

IMHO, Minnesota will host the most important political campaign in 2006. The battle for the hearts and minds of the exurbs will decide the future of our nation for the next decade. Conservatives have addled our economic and national security by nearly bankrupting our government and entangling our military in a conflict that has made America more vulnerable. Because of conservative policy failures, our nation is unable to address the real threats to our security: al qaeda, nukes in Iran and North Korea, rising health care costs, record deficits that undermine retirement security for the elderly and education for the young. America's future depends on the Democratic Party's ability to restore fiscal discipline and accountability to our government. All hands on deck.
