Donate to Chris Coleman for St. Paul mayor.
St. Paul deserves better than that Bush supporter, Mayor Randy Kelly.

http://www.chriscolemanformayor.com/

From an email:

I am in a race against the clock. I have a very critical fundraising deadline this Sunday, August 28th. Your help is needed now!

Mayor Kelly has taken fundraising to a whole new level. We have all heard about the help he's been getting from Tim Pawlenty and Norm Coleman. Well, they haven't eased up! Just today, we received a copy of an email they sent out trying to raise even more money for Randy. They are relentless, and I need resources to fight back against their Republican attack machine.

Your contribution of $50, $100, $200, $500 or whatever your can afford will help me tremendously. We have a lot of work to do before the Primary. I must raise the money necessary to get out the vote. Please consider a donation today!

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Sincerely,

Chris Coleman

2. Normy is not a Coleman
Normy changed his name. I've searched for his real name and when he changed it but haven't had any luck so far. I have a feeling that, like the weasel he is, he changed his name to something more Irish sounding in order to run in an area where Irish names are an asset in running for office.

6. Actually, Coleman isn't just an Irish name
One of my grandma's cousins (Irish Catholic) married a guy whose last name was Coleman who was Jewish (quite the upset to both families back in 1920) and I once worked with a guy who last name was Coleman who was also Jewish - we went over our family trees and he was no relation to the Coleman grandma's cousin married.

However, you are correct, Normie is no relation to Nick or Chris Coleman, though I've heard he never tried to discourage any confusion along those lines espcially among those of us who remember Nick, Sr. who was a fine liberal and (state) Senate Majority Leader.

7. I'm still trying
to find Norm's original name. It made the papers when his parents came to visit during his term as mayor but is well hidden now.

5. I don't think there is any relation to Senator Norm Coleman.
However, Chris Coleman is the brother of liberal columnist for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Nick Coleman.
