1. It's $2.94 in Detroit Lakes today. Up 45 cents now.
I just talked to the owner of the station behind my house he said they are sending price updates to him 3 times a day now, where as before this happened he only got them once a day at 5am.

My boyfriend just got back from Grand Forks and it's $3.21 there...

8. They sure didn't waste any time!
Big oil is going to maintain its record profits no matter what.

I rode my bike to the bank and the grocery store today. No bike racks.

6. I heard $3.24 in Fargo. Remember last fall........
georgewbush.com had a Kerry gas tax calculator. "If John Kerry is President people will pay $3 a gallon. Vote for Bush"

Bunch of assholes.

10. I think we can bet on it.
Watch, tonight Bush will say we all have to face the sacrifice of higher prices in order to help the Karina victims and bring peace to Iraq.

16. I guarantee it - just jumped to $2.919.
Talked to a friend that runs a fuel company in SE Minnesota - he thinks we'll be out of fuel in three days. We can't get crude oil to our refineries up here until the pipeline starts up again. Don't mean to start a panic - just another thing I haven't heard on the news.

11. What was that movie about New Orleans and an oil crisis?
It just showed a few weeks ago.

It included some terrorism, but I think it was kicked off by a natural disaster, just like this.

Very prescient, if you ask me.

12. No, they were getting us used to the idea
:tinfoilhat:

Just like Independence Day and A Beautiful Mind.:tinfoilhat:

Hollywood releases these movies to the masses in order to de-sensitize us and make us more accepting.:tinfoilhat:
