Rally to draft Wetterling for congressional race sunday 2:00
There will be a rally at 2 pm on Sunday in support of drafting Patty Wetterling to run fro congress. Rally will be at DFL headquarters (DT St. Cloud across from Paramount theater) I'm not sure of correct address but it's pretty close to 910.

1. info from dfl newsletter
from the local dfl newsletter,

"Patty Wetterling announced on Friday, January 20, that she is ending her campaign to succeed Sen. Mark Dayton in the U.S. Senate (to learn more visit www.pattywetterling.com). Please join DFL activists and community members in an Appreciation Rally for Patty Wetterling—our 2004 candidate for Congress and 2006 candidate for US Senate. Patty will be in attendance. The rally will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22 at the Central MN DFL Office (904 W. St. Germain St.—across from the Paramount in downtown St. Cloud). Some activists are also billing this rally as an opportunity to “draft Patty for the 6th CD race.”

3. Did anyone attend this?
Was there strong sentiment for getting Wetterling back in the 6th CD race? What was Wetterling's reaction?

4. I was there for part of it
Lots of people were upset with the bypassing of the caucus system by the state powers that be. People were upset that Patty withdrew even though she was polling better than Klob against Kennedy. I had to leave before Patty responded to expressions of support of run for 6th D.

2. I hope Patty does now go back to the 6th
She could still make a difference if she did that.
