We had a small but fun gathering on Eat Street today (3/8/08) |
|
attended by jasonc, geardaddy, ocelot, and me, Lydia Leftcoast.
After about an hour at Spyhouse Coffee, we adjourned to the Evergreen Restaurant, determined to take advantage of geardaddy's expertise in Taiwanese cuisine.
The food was wonderful, with lots of interesting (and non-scary) foods. Personally, I plan to go back.
For those of you who missed this outing, we're going to do it again next month.
Be there, aloha!

1. Hopefully I'll make it next month |
|
I had to give my nephew a ride to work and I was afraid that by the time I got to Spyhouse you might have left for another restaurant.

6. Sorry, nobody took pictures this time |
|
I realized when I was halfway there that I should have brought a camera.
We were all naughty in that respect. :spank:

12. You have nearly a month to think about it and there are like two dozen |
|
restaurants on Eat Street. So let's see, it will take about two years to try all of them...

14. Do they have good Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup there? |
|
The only place I've found that has reasonably tasty Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup is United Noodles.

I didn't see it on the menu. I do love Taiwanese beef noodles too. Are you talking about the ones they cut directly into the beef soup that's been simmering in the same pot for 40 years? Here's a link to the soup noodle portion of the menu: http://www.evergreen-chinese.com/menu/noodle_soup_entrees.htmlLooks like they do have it!

I called them and asked if this was Taiwan style beef noodle soup and he said yes.
Looks like a second place might have it!
