Minnesota Roll Call on Protecting Phone Companies which engaged in warrantless wiretapping

All three Republicans voted YES to protecting from lawsuits phone companies which violated our privacy (Jim Ramstad, Michele Bachmann, and John Kline.)

Democrat Collin Peterson also voted YES.

However, Democrats Betty McCollum, Tim Walz, Keith Ellison, and James Oberstar voted NO.

Pretty sad Democratic majority in Congress. More money for war, pardoning the illegal wiretappers. Somebody get these people a fucking spine.

He was a command seargant major, for christ's sake. He has a lot of the men and women who served under him over there.

As much as I hate it, if we're going to have troops deployed, they need funding. Does anybody seriously believe that Bush would bring our guys and gals home if congress cut off funds?

I'm a veteran too and I say get the fuck out of Iraq and don't commit to another dime over there. That's like saying I'm Catholic so everything the Pope says is good. Isn't that what we put the Dems in charge for? I'm sick of this fucking war and anyone who votes to fund it. $800 million Congress will have voted for the two wears this year. That's not any kind of Democratic majority I envisioned.

I don't think this legalization of crime will be stopped in the Senate, but it's probably a good occasion to contact Amy Klobuchar to thank her for her earlier vote against Telcom immunity and let her know we're counting on her again.

And hey, why not contact Coleman's office and tell him how confident you are that he'll break with Bush and represent the people of Minnesota instead on this bill? Y'know, him bein' such an independent and all...

8. Don't forget Klobuchar voted for the FISA bill the first time

A vote that came not long before the State Fair where both she and her staff got an earful from unhappy Minnesotans. It was the 2nd time the bill came up that she saw the light. It is important to contact to her because she needs to know we're still watching.

And contact Coleman, he should know we're paying attention as well.
