Kline now running re-election ads

I saw my first TV ad for John Kline on KARE this evening. Things must be really bad if he is running them and that must mean the 2nd CD is not as safe as in the past for him and can be a DFL pickup.

I'm not a 2nd Districter, but I've had a few chances to meet Steve and I can tell that he's a good guy.

2. Is that the ad where he talks about how he's never asked for earmarks?

Because everytime I see it, I think about that new bridge they need in his district (I think at Hastings).

I am now receiving mailings from his campaign as well, for the first time this cycle.

We are also getting a LOT of mailings for the Republican incumbent for the MN House seat in our district - sometimes two a day - plus a lot of anti-Obama (certainly not pro-McCain) mailings. They must be nervous about the US 2nd District going for Obama and Sarvi. Not much at all for either Franken or Coleman by way of mail.
