Republican ads quoting Al Franken are misleading.
"Americans for Jobs Security" has an ad quoting Al Franken saying, "Many sub-prime lenders are doing a real service. They’re doing exactly what we want."

But Al Franken was speaking out against predatory subprime loans. He was making the point that not all subprime loans are predatory.

The NRSC has an ad quoting Al Franken saying, "If I put myself on the ballot and even 50 people voted for me it'd be a travesty."

But he was explaining in 1999 why he wouldn't run for president as an independent.

1. This surprises us?
Hopefully Franken will be able to put out an ad or two showing what he really said - like he did with the "angry Al" ad.
