Yesterday's KFAN broadcast of the Vikings game. |
|
KFAN lost me as a listener at exactly 3:01pm yesterday during the game. I tuned in to hear a sportscast & not a political statement by the broadcasters of the game. Rambis was right...I can't believe they turned a football game/team into a political statement.
My email also said "if Tice would have spent more time preparing a game plan for the Giants game the next day instead of campaigning with you know who, a day before a game...maybe that would not have got their butt kicked!!!" Of course KFAN didn't make use that as part of their excuses why the Vikings lost.
Grrrr!!!

2. The part I heard was.... |
|
How great it was that the Tice went down to the Target Center to stand with, you know who, up on stage. Then they ripped apart the Star Tribune for having a Kerry story on the front page & not a big article/pictures on the visit by you know who. Then they came back a few mins later & said..."oh we were just kidding about all that political talk". Uh huh, sure didnt sound like it when they first said it!
Thats all I needed to hear & turned it off.

They(not Joe and PA- the other guys) have been talking about this on KFAN today. Make sure that you mention that it is inappropriate to make political comments DURING A GAME. That's what seems to be getting under the skin of the other guys on KFAN. The rest of the boys on the station seem to be Kerry backers. They talk politics on their daytime sports talk shows, but say they would never do it during a game. They are also saying that PA and Joe realized they were wrong and apologized. I don't remember an apology on the air, though. Am I wrong?

6. Too bad, the Vikings want our money for a new stadium; Sorry |
|
I don't want tax money going to that bunch until a new owner is in place. In fact I think I might want a new coach too.
They have every right to make political statements, but I have every right to respond. No money for the Vikes. Too bad Red.

7. Sorry about the bad english on the original thread here.... |
|
it's kind of hard to type when trying to keep the screen hidden from the boss while here at work!!!
Thanks folks for keeping this alive!
I'm glad to hear the other radio personalities on the station took note of what happened yesterday during the game.
