Replace pro-Bush mayors in New York, St. Paul, elsewhere
We need to re-build the Democratic Party from the ground up.

Pro-Bush mayors in New York, St. Paul, and other cities are running for re-election in 2005.

Let's elect real Democrats in their place.

Do you live near New York City or St. Paul or another city with a pro-Bush mayor?

Start organizing.

Attend meetups of Democracy for America.

If mayoral races aren't discussed at the first meeting, you can bring the subject up at a later meeting.

1. I agree completely -- but we shouldn't stop with mayors
Secretaries of State (e.g. OHIO), Governors, State Legislators, etc. When we get those positions back, it is going to be a hell of a lot harder for them to pull any shenanigans on Election Day.

P.S. I can't believe I just used the word "shenanigans."

3. Not so much . . .
I just checked and I only saw New Jersey.

Also, Virginia's gubernatorial election is in 2005 and the governor appoints the SoS.

But there are a SLEW of them (including Blackwell) up in 2006.

4. Kelly's a goner.
The sleeping giant of the St. Paul DFL has been re-awakened, and as long as we can get a reasonably qualified and financed candidate, Kelly's going to get the beating of a lifetime. Of course, we welcome any assistence from non-St. Paul folks who want to get in on the fun.

8. I believe so, I think they're open to all Democrats
I think they are like the caucuses we had last year, but on a smaller scale, since it's a city position.
