WCCO at 10 tonight (Thursday) Interview with Dayton

It's about his recent trip to Iraq. The teaser they're running shows the reporter saying to him "You've opposed this war from the start, do you still feel that way?" Then they cut off before his answer.

I have been a long time defender of Mark, but was horribly saddened by his needless rejection today. I am not sure he can make up the lost ground for me. I really thought he had integrity

3. How was it?

4. So-so

- He thinks the elections have to held because the sooner Iraq starts governing itself, the sooner we can get out.

- Things definitely seem more unstable and dangerous than when he was there last year and soldiers he spoke to back that up.

- He will vote for any bills that will get the troops what they need but I refer you to his comments this morning when he did demand that the adminstration account for where the money's been spent, wasted, and stolen (his word).

- Still opposes the war, doesn't regret vote against it, but doesn't think we can just pull out now.

I would have prefered to see a little more fire from him, like he was doing this AM.

6. If they said, I missed it.

I know they mentioned it was done since he was last over there so it must have been in the last week or so.

BTW Norm the Weasel is going over to Iraq and WCCO said they will also have an interview with him.
