I am really not looking to cause trouble, but I do want to hear if the party pulse feels as I do.
Would it be fair to say:
Both Hackett & Sherrod will have undivided party support if Hackett decides to unseat mean Jean.
But the winner of the senate primary, whoever he may be, will only receive somewhat divided support within the party.
Agree or disagree ?

Either candidate will have pretty much complete support of party members for a Senate race. The real issues are personal connections for fundraising purposes, turnout and support among swing voters.

2. There will be solidarity among the voters |

Save for five or ten posters at Daily Kos who "won't let it go". Seriously, this flame war in the "blogs" is just a side show that most people don't know about. Go out on the street and ask people what is the next big election. Most folks are not tuned in yet.

that the Faithful can and will support the nominee. I've got nothing against Brown, and I don't disagree with those persons who point out the 'experience gap' advantage that he has over Hackett, but I'm afraid that Brown will be viewed as the traditional, NE Ohio establishment liberal by the Moderate-to-Conservative voters. DeWine pretty-much is a standard Ohio moderate R. The things that make the RW hate him (guns, bi-partisan compromises)make him OK in the eyes of moderate independents. At least Hackett has the "outsider" cache that might attract the "pox on both their houses" swing voters.
Although my man Ted has endorsed Sherrod, I'm not yet convinced.

5. I don't see how Sherrod would have to carry the baggage of crappy gov't |
|
I look at him being an principled, genuine leader with inertia.

6. Sherrod is a man of integrity who votes his principles.... |
|
he isn't a 'party man.' I think voters...all voters...are ready for a person who has spine....and he has shown that spine.
I just don't see why Hackett can't run in the 2nd District...now that is a 'slam dunk,' IMHO. Is this ego on the part of Hackett? Just seems a waste of money for 2 Dems to fight it out in a primary...esp. here in Ohio, where the corruption is so disgusting.

I think party loyalists who want the country back to Blue again will support whomever comes out of the primary and as big of a fan I am of Paul Hackett and what he did in August. I like Brown in this race. I completly understand why Hackett wants to get in the race and I'm glad he did. But unless something drastic happens between now and May, my vote and my money are on Brown if for absolutly no other reason experience.
