Ok, maybe there were not flowers, but the Democrats who marched in the Chagrin Falls parade said that there were plenty of cheers for those carrying the Kerry banner.

13. You are right SpikeTrees
The Dems were treated better than expected during the Blossom Parade Memorial Day weekend.

In fact, there is a new group called "Patriots for Change".

Made up of Dems, Independents, and Repugs who support Kerry/Edwards.

visit wwww.patriotsforchange.com

Let me know if you want the meeting schedule.

I've volunteered to be a precinct captain and am going to Dem HQ for training tomorrow.

Good news: I had a friend from Miamisburg phone and ask for bumper stickers and pins (he and his wife voted Repuke last time), and three neighbors have ASKED for yard signs.

I'm hopeful!

23. Just south of Dayton, here.
In Kettering, the 'bedroom community' band between Oakwood and Centerville. A little more modest, and while there are plenty of Republicans, I've actually seen more Kerry bumperstickers than I have Bush, so far. Not many of either, mind you, but so far more for Kerry.

Of course, most of the ones I've seen have been in the parking lot outside Trader Joe's, but still!

BTW, the rally is going to be held at the corner of McClain and Henry, not Fifth, as the site indicates.

It looks like they're only planning for a half hour, but there's also a lunch at the Dublin Pub. More info, as well as an RSVP, at the site.

Hope to see you!

74. Born in Columbus, raised in Clintonville
now live in Florida :-(. Parents still in Ohio (dad is in Marysville, mom lives near OSU). Mom is a fundie that COULD be swayed if Kerry was anti-war. Dad hates BushCo with a passion, as does his girlfriend. If anyone knows of activies going on in the Columbus area, PM me; they would like to take part, I'm sure.
