Powerful rally yesterday in Columbus, Ohio, "March For Voter Protection"
This rally was a reflection of the Civil Rights Movement of 1965. The guest speaker, Congressman John Lewis from Georgia, one of the "Big Six" leaders of that movement gave an echoing speech of days past ......mirroring serious similarities of voting disenfranchisement today by Ohio Sectary of State, Kenneth Blackwell.

Let me say this.....Ohio Congresswoman Stephanie-Tubbs-Jones and Congressman Ted Strickland were also lead speakers at the event. They have embraced our plithe and are in the front line leading us in the fight for voter protection....I am grateful for their leadership as they offer hope and strength.

Here is a link with a brief news clip on the right of the report.

When Congressman Lewis spoke, it brought me to tears......I kept thinking, "Oh no, this is happening again" and I felt his pain. He has inspired me to take this issue as a first priority!

The bad news is......we are up against a brick wall. The Federal Appeals Court has sided with Blackwell. Here is a link

I've tried to search out more articles on the rally....it looks like we have been stifled.

I have photo's of the event....now I just have to figure out how to load them on my computer and post them...this may take some time.
