Kerry to visit Harrisburg
Harrisburg, PA - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (website - news - bio) is coming to the midstate. A bus tour is scheduled to stop in Harrisburg after next week's convention in Boston. The Kerry Campaign won't officially confirm the visit but sources say leave July 30th open. That's the day when Kerry and running mate John Edwards (website - bio) are reportedly taking a bus tour of the midstate with one of the stops being the state Capitol in Harrisburg.

The last time Kerry visited Harrisburg was April 29th at the Civil War Museum. For John Edwards this will be the first time Pennsylvania voters get to see him up close and personal. Political analyst Tim Reeves says a visit is critical to the campaign. Tim Reeves, "For Kerry supporters if he's coming to central PA that's a good sign for them. We all know PA is critical for both candidates. If you look at President Bush (website - news - bio) 's schedule, he's been focusing on his areas of strength in PA, on how he can drive out the vote on those areas of strength. Here's John Kerry potentially coming to represent the heartland of central PA. If he's coming here for Kerry supporters, that's a sign they feel they have a good shot here and they're not just paying attention to their base. They are focusing on winning votes in Republican areas."

John Kerry, his running mate John Edwards and their wives are expected to rally at the fountain area of the state Capitol on July 30th at 7 PM.

3. How many people were there?
I'm hearing reports of upwards of 30,000 people. Is this true? If so, that is just absolutely phenomenal.

Anybody have a report as to how the rally went?
