So what's a car emisson/inspection run these days in PA?

I know this is a more Lounge-ish topic, but I didn't want it to get buried.

I go take my car to get inspected this weekend, what am I looking at in terms of cost? I keep hearing how they changed the test, and that it costs more, but I have yet to see a number.

We still have only one sticker, but you have to deal with all the Freeper types around here. DUers are definitely in the minority here.

I didn't drive enough to require EI, but my last inspection cost about $36 two months ago. Coming back here from NJ, it seems wierd not to have state operated ( although privatized ) inspection available. If you had the time to sit in line the inspection didn't cost anything. If your time was too valuable, you could pay a private garage to do the inspection.
