Gov. Ed Rendell to be at Lancaster Democratic Rally Aug. 26
The Democratic Rally is called "Concert for Change" -- three bands, lots of candidates for state and federal offices, and now the Governor is coming to speak.

In conservative Lancaster County, we're hoping to make a good showing ... so PLEASE come if you're in Lancaster County between 5:30 and 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26! It'll be a great time for Lancaster County Democrats (very much a minority here) to make our voices heard loud and clear!!!

You can see the informational flyer about the rally at the Lancaster Kerry Meetup site.

1. ... and he was fabulous.
The governor rocked the place. Lancaster is very conservative ... Democrats there "never" have elaborate rallies. The organizers of the rally said this is the first significant rally in Lancaster since 1960 when John Kennedy came to town to campaign.

And there were hundreds of people there -- you have to understand JUST HOW CONSERVATIVE the place is, and JUST HOW BAD the Repugs try to make you feel for being a Democrat in Lancaster.

Well, this rally showed the local Democratic citizenry to be loud, proud, and here to stay! And Ed Rendell energized the crowd into a cheering throng! Great night to be a Democrat!!!

2. Yes, he was!
Beautiful night............lots of energy, big crowd. Good food! The band was terrific. Felt wonderful not to feel like I crawled out from under some rock..........or, to be introduced in the "polite" Republican way of introduction, "Yes, she's a Democrat, but 'one of the nice ones'". Last night, I was in a place where I BELONGED!
