We're meeting at 10 a.m. in the KMart parking lot at Summerdale Plaza, on Routes 11&15 just south of the I-81 bridge over the Susquehanna (Cumberland County) to lit drop Enola on behalf of Marilyn Zilli, D candidate for State House of Representatives in an open seat.

We want Marilyn to succeed Pat Vance, a long-term, popular liberal Republican who's vacating the seat to run for State Senate to replace a retiree. Since March, Marilyn has door-knocked nearly the entire 87th district and we're filling in a few areas she hasn't reached. Polls have Marilyn behind by only 3% against the hard-right R candidate, Glen Grell. Enola is the most D of this 2-1 R district.

I love seeing interstate tour buses stopping at this KMart so the passengers can buy tax-free clothes there. Our opponent wants to drop real estate taxes "by one or two thousand dollars" by broadening the sales tax. I think his stump speech is directed above me because my RE tax is only $900. He's supposed to be a disciple of Charlie Gerow.
