Harrisburg [PA] Patriot-News endorsement |
|
In 2000 it endorsed Bush. This year it endorses figuring it out yourself: http://www.pennlive.com/editorials/patriotnews/index.ssf?/base/opinion/1098609626111490.xml
They're disappointed with Bush and find Kerry "less aggressive than we would hope," which sounds like a much too late endorsement of Dean.

Can't expect much else from the northeast's extension of Alabama. Let's see, one vote for * (York), one "Vote * or don't bother (HBG Patriot)...any word on who the Lancaster papers are endorsing?

2. Well, the Lancaster Intelligencer-Journal is supposed to be the |
|
editorially liberal paper (though things have been getting a little weird lately), so they should endorse Kerry.
The New Era -- conservative to the bone -- will go for Baby Doc Bush.
And the Sunday News never endorses anyone. They're supposed to be the "neutral" paper (HA! The political columnist for that paper is also the Christian columnist, who writes about what Jesus does in her life ... so you can figure how the political commentary AND "news stories" are SLANTED!!!)

3. right on both accounts, gauguin. |

The Intelligencer Journal sprung for Kerry today, the New Era, natch for Bush. No surprises here in Lancaster.

6. Frankly, this is astonishing for Harrisburg. |
|
I live in one of its suburbs and the place is just as conservitive as East Texas where I spent a dreadful social year clerking for a truly inspiration federal district judge.
I expect that many of my soon-to-be-ex-neighbors were unhappy with the Patriot Snooze.

I lured my husband (a burned-out public defender) here from South Carolina, and he says there isn't that much difference, except the climate is a lot better here, but we're planning to make some changes here.
