Springsteen, Grushecky headline concert to benefit flood victims

Flood Aid 2004 promised a good show for a good cause and it delivered on both counts last night at Heinz Hall.

Outside Heinz Hall, demonstrators held signs praising Springsteen and Grushecky for their generosity while deriding U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum. One sign read, "Bruce is Boss and Santorum is Lost" -- an apparent slap at Santorum for a lack of empathy when he visited flood victims.

Our "demonstration" consisted of two adults, 2 young teens, and one 9 year old child.

If I had 20 people it would have been on every tv station in town. And I might have gotten credit for a punch instead of a slap.

By the way, they misquoted the sign. It actually read:
BRUCE IS THE BOSS
SANTORUM IS A TOTAL LOSS

it was the reporter who called it -

-his words, not mine.

what is totally misleading is the idea that sitting around criticizing this post is somehow helpful. that's not just a misleading idea, but also delusional. like the idea that the number of posts you've made somehow makes a difference to the fight. did you "activists" need another post to add to your total???? it's all LOL.

the pgh post-gazette is the "newspaper of record" for this town.
