Austin DUers--need to expose Kris Gillespie |
|
Kris Gillespie is considering running for the Texas Legislator. She needs to be stopped. She co-owns a company with her husband but calls herself a "stay at home" mom. This allows the company to qualify for federal and state Women owned and minority owned waivers. Kris Gillespie is African-American. She was on "Wife Swap" last week and she was beyond viscious.

1. God help Texas if that evil woman is elected to the legislature. |
|
Personally, I don't think she has a snowball's chance in hell. Every Christian in Texas has to see through her. She really needs psychological help.
Evil evil evil evil woman.

'performance' on "Wife Swap". She was completely over the top. I can't believe that this is the best that the GOP can do? She said she was a "stay at home" mom but she is the co-owner of a company with her husband and is also an author. She kept going on about "excellence" and her "diamonds". Usually I don't watch this show and also (usually) I don't get this hyper over something but she really struck a nerve.

3. I know this may sound silly, |
|
but I actually shed a few tears at the end segment, where all four adults were gathered to discuss the two weeks with each other.
She was so mean and vicious to the lesbian couple that she made one of them cry.
Austin has a huge gay population. No way in hell will this woman be elected. All her opponent has to do is show clips from the Wife Swap show...of her teaching her kids that "Christianity = prosperity" and that she loves her husband because he gives her "nine carat diamonds."
She's a fruitcake. No way will she win. Austin folks ought to HOPE that the GOP runs her in the election. That will be a sure win for the Dems. :-)

She can win out there. But in central Austin, she has no chance in Hell.
Edit - chances are she already has a Republican representing her. If she's from the area I think she's from that is...

5. But would even the suburbanites elect her? |
|
I can't imagine anyone thinking that she would be good representation. Maybe I live in a sheltered world. :-)

6. Oh we have some real pieces of work around here. |
|
The northern suburbs are a freeper paradise. It's possible that she's represented by a Democrat, Mark Strama, who won a really close race against an incumbent Republican.

7. We ought to consider the entertainment value though |

Let's face it, the last few Legislatures have really been pretty lacking in colorful, crazy nutjobs getting themselves in trouble with the law... the last I remember was Drew Nixon getting busted for soliticing a hooker on South Congress while driving a car full of guns. How many years ago was that?

8. Yeah, it's been since 1989 that ol' Perdue was handing out $10000 checks |

on the floor of both houses.
We need more fist fights, too. Carona almost got into it with Royce West last session. That would have been fun. Carona is 5-foot-nothing and West played college football and is quite large. :7

forums. Somebody there found this book on Amazon.com written by the Gillespies. Sounds wretched. Notice how many of the glowing reviews come from the Austin area. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0970559402/qid=1108754320/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/104-1299549-7758316?v=glance&s=books&n=507846When Mama Ain't Happy, Ain't Nobody Happy : 52 Rules Women Want Men to Know by Kris Gillespie, Brian Gillespie Product Description: (AUSTIN, TX) Authors Kris & Brian Gillespie share 52 humorous “Rules” that will empower, inspire and strengthen relationships between men and women. Personal relationsips have three key ingredients: Love, Laughter & Romance. Of the three, how effectively you communicate your love will set the tone for fun and romance as well. Their book When Mama Ain’t Happy, Ain’t Nobody Happy, 52 Rules women want men to know (Destination Publications, January 2000, ISBN:0970559402, paperback $8.99) provides fun and common sense tips to strengthen communication skills, and keep those home flames hot. If you’ve ever said “We don’t have fun anymore or we don’t talk like we used to” then this is the book for you. For example: Rule #6, “Going shopping with your wife is like being seventeen in an election year. You can have all the opinions you want, but you just can’t vote.”
Rule #21, “Ask directions, even if you may be able to find your own way.”
Rule #41, “ Remember that all you have, you share, unless it’s hers.”
Rule #52, “ Marriage is not 50/50, it’s 100/100.
Rule #8, “When looking at other women, the three second rule applies.”
Written mostly through Brian’s own suggestions, based on 15 years of experience, When Mama Ain’t Happy, Ain’t Nobody Happy, will make you laugh until you cry…. And then you will laugh some more. It will energize, bring humor, and fire up the passion in a relationship.
