He took the legislation over from Mitch McConnell. Problem is, Kennedy's original bill would help 7.5 million Americans, while the re-worked Santorum bill with all it's exclusions and no overtime provisions will only help 1.8 million Americans.
And Tricky Ricky wants to campaign on this as being a champion of the minimum wage for poor Americans!

Of course, it's a good idea to register people at any time. But given how often people move, a large number of those you register to vote today will have different addresses by Election Day 2006. So it would be a good idea to keep a database of voters who can be called in the future to see if they've changed address so they can be reregistered.
