Meet DUer Taverner in Austin this Thursday (3/31)

Hey y'all. In case you didn't know Taverner is in town this week for training. I was thinking we need to treat him to one of our legendary Austin gatherings. :)

Anyway, we're looking at meeting up at Mother Egan's this Thursday night - 3/31. Probably around 6:30ish - I'll keep you posted when we set a definite time.

4. Ok...here's the info...

Taverner REALLY REALLY REALLY wants to go to the Salt Lick for dinner. So, anyone who wants can meet us at the Salt Lick here in Austin at 3801 N. Capital of Texas Hwy around 5:15 or 5:30.

If you don't feel like doing dinner or it's too far to drive...we'll be at Mother Egan's around 7ish to start on the drinking portion of our evening.

5. Hey if you want to do the Salt Lick I can't believe you're settling

for the Salt Lick "lite" location. The Salt Lick at N. Capital of Texas Hwy is the "Davenport" location. Does Taverner want to do Salt Lick the real way or the fake way. They don't even cook at that location. They have all the food shipped in from the Driftwood location.

A real Texan would mosey on over to Driftwood for the full dining experience. Just my nosy two cents worth. It's not that far from
Austin, Velma.

6. Well, according to the map...

it's 24 miles from my office to the Driftwood location. I was figuring that would be a little much for some of the people I'm hoping show up tonight. If Tav had been able to stay til the weekend I guarantee we woulda gone to the Driftwood location. :(

The other thing is that we've got some drinkin' to do tonight down on 6th street. So closer to town was important.

Well then that makes sense. I just think it's sad to give some one a legendary eating experience like Salt Lick half done. But if you plan on serious drinking then the food wasn't going to be the highlight of the evening.

And by the way I hope most of you know that the Salt Lick in Driftwood is BYOB.

What about 6th Street Saturday night?? Since we had to reschedule 2 weeks ago, we'll be in Austin this weekend!! We have tix for Esther's Saturday night then thought we'd go to the dueling piano bar afterward... we'd love to have any evil DUers join us if they can!!! Let me know if you're up to it!
